Louise Veach 2. What was the timeframe you worked at Microware? September, 1987 to August, 1998 1. Receptionist 2. Administrative Assistant, Sales and Marketing Assisted President(s) of Sales and Marketing. Supported sales and marketing personnel. Kept contracts, foreign and domestic, updated. The wonderful and fascinating people who worked there, including the foreign staff and visitors, and the absolute "life saving" friends I made there, who helped shape my life and provided family for myself and my young son. The Marketing Department party times, working for Andy Ball, and getting to know the most fabulous people I have ever known. Most definitely. The freedom and flexibility of the workplace made it possible to have personal relationships with awesome people. Most everyone I worked with or had much contact with made an impact on my life, and the life of my son, Nathan. Those people helped shape our lives and helped us get through some tough times. I am most definitely a better person today for having known everyone there. Downsized. I would never have left otherwise. I spent two years at Farm Bureau, in the Live division, doing complex change contract work. Since that time, I have been working at an Edward Jones office, here in Grimes. I am a BOA ~ Branch Office Administrator. I am single, with no significant others. My son, Nathan, is married and has an awesome 18 month old son, Alex. My other children; Steve, David, Barbara, Teresia, Debbie and Jim have provided me with 13 other grandchildren, all who live out of state. I have one great-grandaughter, and I have two birds; Cockatiels, Andrew and Angel. I love gardening and reading. I am on two committees at my Church, and currently attend 3 weekly Bible studies. I am a Hospice Center volunteer, and visit shut-ins. I correspond with many family members, friends, and a young man in prison. |
