7. What was your reason for leaving Microware?

My boss (Tom Michel) had just been fired and an interesting opportunity presented itself at JavaSoft (Sun). Plus I was never going to find a wife willing to move to Iowa!


8. What have you been doing career-wise since Microware?

Business Development and Marketing at Sun, focusing on J2ME technology and the digital TV market. Working with cable companies, settop box manufacturers, standards bodies, etc. to enable a global Java-based standard for digital television.


9. Tell us about your family: spouse, significant others, kids, pets, etc.

Met Dr. Riki Alcheck in May, 1998, married her two years later in May, 2000. Adopted Mocha, a gorgeous and spirited Weimaraner/Vizsla mix in July 2001, and had our first child, Shira, in May 2004.
