2.  What was the timeframe you worked at Microware?

1988 - 1999

3.  What was your job title(s) and what did you do at Microware?

Hmmm...everything except software engineer?!   I don't recall exactly but, I believe I had 8 different titles in the 11+ years I was there.  These are the ones I remember:  Account Administrator, International Marketing Manager, Director of Product Management, and Director of Contract Management.

4.  What is your most interesting or vivid memory of Microware?

Probably the day that Denny Bridal almost amputated his foot with a chainsaw.

5.  What were some of your favorite times at Microware?

Wow...too many to name!  Here's a few:  Monday Morning Marketing meetings (with coffee, donuts, & cigarettes), Production Parties (with the band that never quit warming up), The Barb Table (what's said there stays there!), the "Let's..." bar at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo, and lots & lots of tradeshows.

6.  Have any experiences, skills, or habits that you picked up at Microware made an impact on your life?  Please share them with us.

Obviously, the 4 years I spent at Microware K.K. had a profound impact on my life.  It led me to Thunderbird, an international MBA school, where I managed consulting projects in Japan for Johnson & Johnson and EDS, and spent my summers studying in Tokyo and travelling around Asia.  Interestingly, one skill I picked up at Microware that I never realized was so valuable was making presentations.  I was known as the chartware expert in grad school and now, at IBM, I make pitches to top executives on a regular basis.  (I haven't met Sam Palmisano yet, but I'm getting closer all the time!)

7.  What was your reason for leaving Microware?

Went to grad school.

8.  What have you been doing career-wise since Microware?

Obtained a Master's in International Management and joined IBM Microelectronics' worldwide supply chain team in Burlington, Vermont.  I now make the chips that Microware used to port software to!  My job touches on everything from PowerPC chips that go into Macs to the thousands of processors required to run the Bluegene supercomputer.

9.  Tell us about your family: spouse, significant others, kids, pets, etc.

Nothing much new to report here.  Still single & available!  If you know a guy who wouldn't mind living in Vermont, send him my way!

10.  Please attach up to three pictures of yourself, family, pets, and etc. to appear in the Reunion Highlights DVD.  We prefer .jpg and .gif images.

11.  Do you ever see other former Microware employees and do you have their email addresses?

Yes, but I believe they're all on your list already.
