Allen Huffman 2. What was the timeframe you worked at Microware? Jul 1995 - Jul 2001 3. What was your job title(s) and what did you do at Microware? Either seeing my first demo of DAVID "video on demand" demo, or the Christmas party for the 20th anniversary where the video tape played. Working the booth at the Embedded Systems Conference, and getting to go to Disneyland and Walt Disney World multiple times a year thanks to teaching OS-9 classes in Orlando and Irvine. Presentation skills were developed thanks to teaching OS-9 over and over and over and over again for many years; and being around to many mentors (such as James Jones) let me pick up on programming stuff I I thought unemployment might be more fun. (RadiSys layoff.) After Microware, I went to work for a customer I used to support out in San Jose, Sooriya Networks. They were working on a MIPS/ARM dual-CPU networking device running OS-9. After 9/11 they lost funding and paychecks stopped coming. After an eternity on unemployment, I took a None -- after becoming unemployed I couldn't support my g/f and her two boys (3 1/2 years together), but, of course, I can't blame that on why we really split up ;-) James Jones, the most, and keep in touch via e-mail with folks like: Eric Crichlow, Joel Hegberg, Boisy Pitry. |
