5/81 - 2/97


3. What was your job title(s) and what did you do at Microware? 

VP of most things except R&D and Finance, made the world a better place to live work and play.


4. What is your most interesting or vivid memory of Microware? 

Bud Barry telling me that I was out as VP, Intl. Ops. and that a buddy of his was taking over.


5. What were some of your favorite times at Microware?  

The executive council meeting that took place two days before the IPO when we realized that nothing could stop us.  When marketing toasted R&D in a basketball game because MKTG was smart enough to substitute its players and R&D wasn't.  Note: R&D had better payers.


6 .Have any experiences, skills, or habits that you picked up at Microware made an impact on your life? 

Please share them with us.  I learned to go for the kill at the first opportunity.  Second chances don't always come around.


7. What was your reason for leaving Microware? 

I had been there too long.  It was (past) time for me to go.


8 .What have you been doing career-wise since Microware?   

Some consulting.


9. Tell us about your family: spouse, significant others, kids, pets, etc. 

I married a journalist and free-lance writter, Christine Riccelli, and have a daughter, Eleanor Riccelli Ball.
